So I farewelled my folks today – the last of many who came a long way to celebrate with us. I never thought I’d see them in Australia, and I was so moved by the massive effort they made to get here for our wedding. Gill and I will be forever grateful, and can only guess how daunting it was for them. We bid them Slan abhaile, and we can’t wait until the next time we see them on the auld sod. We will miss them, and Cormac will miss them.
On a complete tangent, why does the water bill always arrive when it is bucketing down? Surely there is a proverb in that?
