Up close and personal

Just bought a new Tamron 90mm Di Macro lens, and have been having fun! Been getting up close and personal with our arthropod friends, and have also found it a useful addition to the portrait arsenal. As long as one can keep mucky paws out of the lens hood. The depths of field are so small when the aperture is wide open! Lots of creative possibilities…

Our house is home to thousands of varied and interesting bugs of an evening, and here are a few samples – a big goofy stick insect and a
beautiful iridescent beetle, plus Cormac smashing down a big dinner…
